As an alumni and fan of Florida State University, I have to say I have never been more embarrassed by the football team after their inexcusable loss to the USF Bulls on Saturday. As the game progressed and came to an end, it was clear that this football program still has alot of serious work to be done. While strides have been made on the offensive side of the football, the defense continues to stink.
If the Florida State Football program ever wants to get back to the elite, it is clear as to what needs to be done. First and foremost, Bobby Bowden and Mickey Andrews need to be shown the door. While both coaches have done alot for this university, they shouldn't be allowed to tear down what they built. It is time for Bobby and Mickey to retire and let fresh blood come in.
If serious changes are not made at the end of this season, recruiting will be severely affected and the eight years of misery suffered by FSU fans since 2001 will be come 16. It is time for change! Dear Bobby, please retire! |
